Shadow of a cloud

As curator and participant of the exhibition Shadow of a cloud Herman Lamers sought artists with a strong theatrical visual reflection on their life in the city. Their visual languages are different, but with objects, film, photography and installation art they present work in special theatrical stagings. The exhibition can be visited from Saturday 15 February to Sunday 23 March in studio 2 de Doelen art.

These are the participating artists:

Christine Salfeld | Ice age (animated films)
In her work, Christine investigates aspects of everyday life and social interaction. Cities, streets and houses are the research sites in an ongoing attempt to better understand human nature and social coexistence.

Netty van Osch | Digging (objects)

Netty shows in her images a parallel world where contrast and possibilities, choice and fate, game and competition alternate or result in a duel. These are often installations in which the playing field is central.

Noelle Cuppens | Lose no Time (staged photography)

As an image maker, Noëlle likes to get lost and disappear, to make small things bigger. In theatrical stagings, projects from the past are combined in an associative way with events from the present.

Herman Lamers | upside Down (installation)

Herman's work focuses on the encounter with the viewer, the work is a confrontation between idea, material, form and story in the context of a space.

Petra Noordkamp | Single Post (photo works)

Petra is a visual artist who moves between photography and film. Her work explores the influence of experiences, memories, films and dreams on the perception of architecture and the urban environment.
