Resonances From The Void & Resonances From The Other One

From Thursday 21 August to Sunday 14 September 2025 you can visit the first part of the two-part exhibition Resonances From The Void Visit Studio 2, de Doelen Art. In this exhibition, organized by the Kunstambassade Rotterdam, you'll see work by Rotterdam artists who reflect on our current times, which are experiencing an acceleration that often seems beyond our control. As if the world is slipping through our fingers. Yet, a deep human longing remains: for participation, for collaboration, for the exchange of ideas, for meaningful connection through language and shared presence.

Participating artists
The first exhibition Resonances From The Void is a quest for a sense of disorientation and alienation, both personally and socially—an experience of being lost and dissociated from an overwhelming and fragmented world. The exhibition features work by Danni van Amstel, Maarten Bel, Tessa Biemans, Mel Chan, Marco Douma, Leonor Faber Jonker, Stefan Gross, Kim Hospers, Marijn de Jong, Rubén Dario Kleimeer, Diederik Klomberg, Rick Koren, Ine Lamers, Katinka Lampe, Marlike Marks, Alexandra Phillips, Onno Poiesz, Hester Scheurwater, Elian Somers, Renie Spoelstra, Koes Staassen, Sjoerd Westbroek, Gijsbert van der Wilt, Hans Wilschut, and Lotte Louise de Jong.

Resonances From The Other One
The second exhibition, Resonances From The Other One, opens from Friday, September 19th, to Sunday, October 12th, and focuses on connection. The exhibition features work by nineteen Rotterdam artists affiliated with the Kunstambassade and reflects on our human desire for connection—with each other, with other beings, and with nature. Participants in the second exhibition are: Gill Baldwin, Florian Braakman, Lorena van Bunningen, Rachel A. Carey, Maria Ikonomopoulou, Lidy Jacobs, Jake Kelly, Arthur Kleinjan, Jeroen Kuster, Katharina D. Martin, Lana Mesić, Gyz La Rivière, Daan Samson, Charlotte Schleiffert, Janine Schrijver, Anique Weve, Driessens & van der Baar Wandschappen, and Werner van der Zwan.

The Art Embassy
The Kunstambassade connects Rotterdam visual artists and allows them to share their work with art lovers, both through physical exhibitions and online via its virtual studio. The Kunstambassade is also a network based on solidarity; a portion of the proceeds from works sold goes to a joint fund.
