Discover the pearls of Atelier Herenplaats in the Doelen Art

This summer, Galerie Atelier Herenplaats will take over the space in the Doelen Art. From 13 June to 19 July, you can see idiosyncratic and expressive work by Rotterdam artists with a special story.

Zhixin Angus Liao artist-in-residence Dresden

Multidisciplinary artist Zhixin Angus Liao has been selected for the artist-in-residence program in Dresden. During his residency in May and June of this year, he will explore the sociological concept of “suspension” — the idea of ​​belonging as a fluid, ongoing process of negotiation.

Impulse and Deepening round 1 (2025)

In the first round I&V (Impulse & Deepening subsidy for Rotterdam artists) of 2025, 33 of the 95 applications were granted. The granted applications concern an amount of €218.640.

IN YOUR FACE 2.0

Following the exhibition IN YOUR FACE 2.0, CBK Rotterdam presented a publication of the same name during the finissage on 27 April. This publication bundles 120 self-portraits, made by Rotterdam artists who identify as women. The publication is now for sale.

Documentary photographer Angeniet Berkers spent five years researching the Nazi Lebensborn program, which aimed to increase the number of 'Aryan' babies.
