Weathering Port is an artistic research project by Yeon Sung, in which she investigates the atmosphere of the Rotterdam port using citizen science. The project was developed during the 'Goethe Investigating' residency program of the Goethe Institut Rotterdam. Sung investigates whether creative practices lend themselves to giving the public more insight into the port's air pollution and its effects on the environment. She developed a research tool, the (C) synthesizer, to measure a person's temperature, humidity and heart rate on site. The (C)ynthesizer was presented during a performance.
