The Things That Find Us was an exhibition exhibited during Art Rotterdam 2024 between Ceola Tunstall-Behrens, Florian Braakman, Liza Wolters, Rawad Baaklini and Sarah Rose Guitian Nederlof, with an accompanying exhibition text by Hilde Onis. In The Things That Find Us, each participating artist shows new work that arises from unplanned, sometimes even recurring, encounters. Although we are often consciously or unconsciously looking for something, the things that touch us also find us. This exhibition focuses on daring to wander and the playfulness that arises from doing so. What does it mean to be open to something or someone you don't know exists yet? What responsibility can art bear by starting from this point, in order to slow down, pause and come together?
