The Neon Bubble was a collaborative project by Astrid Moors and Baukje Spaltro, held from January 19th to 24th, 2026, at De Bouwput in Amsterdam. During an intensive public week, they explored the role of neon, color, and perception in painting and in relation to science. In addition to an exhibition of autonomous paintings, they organized perception sessions in which participants actively worked with color and perception. By using neon and blacklight, it became clear how light and color directly influence perception, intuition, and mood. The Neon Bubble attracted approximately 50 to 60 visitors and demonstrated how art can function as research and as a tool for reflection. More information is available at www.theneonbubble.nl.
