With The Blues, Onno Poiesz and Opperclaes welcome the public to Art Rotterdam in June 2022. On the one hand, the work is intended to be festive, on the other it is a reference to war and pandemic, or contemporary 'blues' that dominated the beginning of 2022. The new work consists of four six-metre high piles that have been erected side by side. Poiesz has opted for four instead of three posts to emphasize the feeling of "the entrance" and "welcome".
