Over the course of two weeks, Vicente Fita Botet created a twelve-piece polyptych in oil on paper. He created the work specifically for the exhibition "Double Take," in which he presented his work alongside New York artist Tom McGlynn. Fita Botet explains: "For this piece, I used photographs from my photo archive, depicting objects abandoned on the streets of Rotterdam. I copied these photographs, using a single randomly chosen color for each piece, creating an experimental experience. In this way, I attempted to approximate Tom McGlynn's use of color and establish a dialogue between the two works." The exhibition, on view at Galerie Nieuw Charlois from June 7 to 28, 2025, was well-received by the public and allowed the artist to connect with other artists and gallery owners.
