Jeanne van Heeswijk started the 'Social Practice Library' a few years ago, a public archive that contains her extensive collection of books and research material on social art projects. 'Thresholds of an Archive' is a new step in this process, in which she develops sculptural forms that transform the archive into a lively place for knowledge exchange, creation and research. Not only the accessibility of the library, but also the early involvement of others is of great importance to Van Heeswijk. For this reason, Van Heeswijk organizes a series of experimental workshops in which she thinks about different perspectives on the experience of a certain space, and about possible thresholds that can be experienced. In addition, Van Heeswijk offers the platform as a place for reading clubs in which knowledge can be exchanged.
