During Rotterdam Art Week 2026, Douwe Halbertsma created a site-specific installation together with Iris van Velzen for the group exhibition 'POP 02' in the Achtertuin. The exhibition was curated by Vladimir Radujkov and brought together ten Rotterdam artists working at the intersection of art and design. The installation consisted of four sculptures and a wall covering of riso prints. For Halbertsma, 'POP 02' offered the perfect opportunity to combine his sculptures with a specifically designed background and to explore the interplay between his sculptures and graphic elements and colors on a large scale.
