Gyz La Rivière has edited packaging boxes from Monopoly, Playmobil and Lego, among others, for his series Protest Boxes with the theme 'building and housing'. The housing crisis and numbness of the landscape in the Netherlands have inspired him. La Rivière edited the boxes with handwritten and clipped slogans he heard during housing protests. The boxes – a construction task and protest slogan in one package – describe the Dutch housing problem in their own illustrative way. The series is exhibited in the Hok Gallery in The Hague.
