With "Portraits of Hope," Parisa Akbar Zadeh Polad offers a window into the lives of often overlooked people. At the Pauluskerk (St. Paul's Church), she collected and visualized the stories of undocumented immigrants in the Netherlands. She did this through interviews and the application of healing art therapy. The result is a mosaic of human experiences, testifying to resilience, grief, hope, and the unyielding power of the human spirit. On June 20, 2025, the collected stories and illustrations were exhibited at Theater Rotterdam on the occasion of World Refugee Day.
