Dirk van Lieshout conducted research into Bas Jan Ader's 1972 work 'Untitled (Teaparty)' by delving into Japanese tea culture and working with porcelain. Van Lieshout created a porcelain tea set in collaboration with the Arita Creative Research Center in Japan. He also made porcelain text tubes with references to Ader's work. These eventually appeared as a 'forest' around the work. Van Lieshout concluded his research period in Japan with an imitation of Ader's performance, where he is lured to tea dressed as an Unca insect, after which the trap closes.
