Thanks to the Practical Grant, Sarah Rose Guitian Nederlof was able to develop and perform her first live performance. The work, titled "Nothing and All Happen at Once," is the culmination of research that began in April 2025 during a self-organized residency in Rotterdam. In recent years, the artist has primarily worked with site-specific installations that bring together her various media (video, photography, text, objects, and occasionally sound). By presenting this new research, Guitian Nederlof wanted to explore the impact the work and its reception would have if these different elements were brought together in a live performance.

The performance took place on July 23 and 24, 2025, in the Witte Studio of Dansateliers. In addition to the presentation at Dansateliers, the artist also had the opportunity to present the work at Het Archief Artspace as the closing event of 'Flesh Remembers,' curated by Hannah van den Elzen. This second venue offered the opportunity to adapt the performance to a completely different space and context, increasing the visibility of her work and reaching a new audience. Guitian Nederlof: "The first presentation of 'Nothing and All Happen at Once' feels like a strong start to a larger research project that I will expand in the fall. Performing this work live has allowed me to discover a new power to convey a story to an audience and create connection."
