With support from the Practice Contribution, Thomas & Jurgen were able to realize and present their installation 'THIRD SET' during the Urban Art Biennale 2026 in Völklingen. On-site, the artists combined elements from previous installations with new work and further developed 'THIRD SET' into a layered spatial composition in which work on canvas, panel, video, projection, glass, and maquettes came together. This open working method allowed them to respond directly to the specific qualities of the space. The opening on May 8, 2026, facilitated a valuable exchange with the public and professionals. In the days surrounding the opening, Thomas and Jurgen held conversations with artists, curators, programmers, and other visitors from the international urban art and contemporary art scene. Thomas & Jurgen: 'Visitors described the installation as layered and rich in detail: a work in which there is always something new to discover. The positive reactions confirmed for us that this direction has great potential within our practice. In addition, the presentation has led to an expansion of our professional network.'
