From February 19 to March 13, 2025, Gyz La Rivière presented his work in the solo exhibition 'Metropolitan Synonyms' in the Amelie A. Wallace Gallery on the campus of SUNY College in New York. In the first room, his installations Lee Towers — New York and NYC Protest Boxes were on display. Also four readymade works: Apartment Building, Flat and the recently newly produced City Flat and Tandy Tower. They are old computers that La Rivière turns 90 degrees, making them look like modernist (residential) towers. Also in this room, a new work made on location, the Dutch flag, consisting of 192 international telephone cards, with the title: Greetings from New York. In the second room, the film New Neapolis was shown in large format. His recent film Videotheek Marco could be viewed on a smaller screen. His New Neapolis bomber jacket was also on display here. In the last room the works: the Rotterdam Flag (consisting of three mini containers), the readymade work Robert Moses (a controversial urban planner), Greed (consisting of ten Statue of Liberty sculptures), Capitalism (constructed from ten wooden alphabet blocks) and his entire series of Yellow Pages Series screen prints and part of the series The Little Red Book Series screen prints.
