'Loaf' by Iza van den Baar builds upon her earlier work 'Makes sense', which explored textiles and fashion with food as a source of inspiration. This time, she investigated how textiles react with food. Through new experiments with textiles, such as mimicking food textures or dyeing with food residues, the artist arrived at this multisensory installation. By deconstructing bread, an archive of structures and forms, tastes and smells emerged. These have all been incorporated into a textile object and nine textile tiles, which were on display at the exhibition 'Thinking in Textiles' in Nieuw Charlois.
