What future visions might emerge when interviews are used not only to gather information but also to stage performances? With the project Magic Season, Biance Schick experiments with a theatrical research method in which she writes scripts based on interviews, which she then stages and performs. The central subject of her first case study is a garden in San Lorenzo Dorsino, Italy. Self-proclaimed scientist Alessandro Mendini developed the fertilizer Bioaksxter there, which he claims uses magnetic energy to restore the agro-ecosystem. His approach not only raises questions about our current agricultural system but also touches on themes such as patent law, economics, pseudoscience, and religion. To further explore these issues, Schick interviews Mendini's widow, two artists, a conspiracy theorist, and a marketing strategist, among others. Based on these conversations, the artist stages new scripts that will later be performed and filmed in a diorama-like setting.
