As a filmmaker, Jue Yang is fascinated by connectedness; many of her short films are about touch and the desire for connection. Inventory of tactility: an explorative journey into connection and engagement she sees as a new step in her work practice, in which she wants to shift the focus to real tactile involvement – ​​without the intervention of an audiovisual screen. During this research, Yang embarks on a journey of discovery through different forms of tactility, exploring a multitude of materials and developing ways to promote connection between herself and the audience. To deepen this experiment, Yang will participate in workshops and collaborate with artists and other experts. She also plans to organize a number of showcases with installations and prototypes resulting from this research, with the aim of collecting direct feedback from the public.
