Michaela Lakova's INSULA CAMPO VERITÀ project consisted of a residency and symposium in Hjalteyri in northern Iceland that concluded with a group exhibition and presentation in Reykjavík. Lakova spent ten days in the Verksmiðjan á Hjalteyri art space, a former fish factory. During the residency she investigated the question of what the role of artists is in this time when resistance to capitalist ecocide is growing enormously. Together with the other artists she made a sculpture from materials washed up from the sea, such as a piece of fishing net and seaweed. She also made several videos with the new collective.
