Lore Pilzecker presented her work "Sweet Decay" in the exhibition "Strangely Familiar" at Het Archief. Curators Hannah van den Elzen and Herman Lamers invited six artists working with themes such as hybridity and transformation. Pilzecker's work consists of a triptych and a drawing, both created with watercolor pencils, mechanical pencil, MDF, wood, and embroidery thread. The drawings depict hybrid beings that relate to themes of absence and loss. The triptych was positioned so that the drawings were not immediately visible upon entering. Only when visitors walked around the light pink installation did they enter the five-meter-wide landscape in which two dreamlike figures met.
