María José Crespo used the Practical Grant to produce "Image Controlling," a sonic and sculptural installation at an emergency exit along a highway. Visitors could sit on a wooden platform next to the highway, from where they could listen to everyday traffic and environmental sounds. By applying a delay effect to the highway's sound, the direct and delayed sounds were superimposed, creating a layered echo of time.
