For De Gedenktuin, on the Zuiderbegraafplaats, Leontien Wiehink and Monice Janson came up with an object of five different wooden houses, inspired by offering houses. A house stands for security and having a place. The cottages have niches. Children can place or hide their crafts in these niches. The Memorial Garden is a place of remembrance for children, to help them say goodbye, remember and give their loss a place. In memory of the grandfather, grandmother, brother, sister, niece or nephew who is no longer here.
