Counterbodies 4 is a group exhibition showing works inspired by the human body. Marijke de Pous was one of the artists. Her works 'Amidst' and 'Our roots are dark' were on display in the Achtertuin in Rotterdam. In the exhibition the artists explore the beauty, vulnerability, strength and complexity of the human body. At the same time, they delve deeper into the social and cultural meanings attributed to the human body. The aim is to challenge the visitor to think about their own views and prejudices about the body.
