Ikonomopoulou developed a new version of her installation Alteration in the monumental showcases of Edition Popculaire, an initiative of the Antwerp visual artist Philip Aguirre and curator Liesje Vandenbroek. The installation was on display 2023 hours a day from September 2024 to January 24. Alternation was developed for the 2021 Textile Biennale in the Museum of Rijswijk with the theme Food for Thought. The installation consists of 130 fabric bags, filled with dry food such as fresh herbs, pasta, rice, flour and beans, a stack of tablecloths and a book with the same title Alteration. The work is inspired by life in a small village in Peloponnese where Ikonomopoulou spent his summers as a child.
