For 'All Together!' Frank Stoks invited people to draw them live on a large scale. The artist was mainly concerned with capturing the 'essence' of each person, rather than capturing them as realistically as possible. During the project, Stoks started drawing people on this large scale for the first time, more from his own physical movement than from his wrist. For example, he stood on a chair to draw the head of the person portrayed, which changed the perspective every time. By setting a time limit of fifteen minutes, he forced himself to rely mainly on his intuition and to think less. Stoks also started experimenting with his materials, including acrylic ink and a putty knife.
