For the photography project 'Twist', Ghislain Amar invited six people to spend four hours in her studio. Using a script, he asked participants to adopt comfortable poses and to feel at home in the space and in the company, with Amar encouraging touches. During their stay, the six people were photographed by Amar, both individually and collectively. Joshua Ties also made sound recordings that Amar will probably use for new work at a later stage. 'Twist' is based on Amar's fond memories of his childhood, playing games on the floor with an older child. Not only did he want to implement these pleasant, exciting experiences in this work, he also tries to give social fears a place by presenting himself not as a participant but as a photographer. The project has so far resulted in two works of art that Amar exhibited in the Buisness project space in April.
