Open call for persons interested to participate in 'STEM – VOICE (cycle 1)': a laboratory in choir format to explore the voice through situated connection, echo-location, and spatial phenomena. The laboratory consists of a cycle of four sessions of 1 hour duration each, and will include singing technique training, choir singing, movement and body practice, as well as public space interventions. No prior singing or performance experience is needed.

Locations: Nomadic in Rotterdam Oud-Charlois.

About Janneke:
Janneke (she/her) works ao as an experimental vocalist skilled in acoustic techniques and in situ listening. Her artistic work and approach to collective singing relates to how the body, astronomy, geography and spatial positioning can be aligned through a sonic experience. Manifesting a social approach to sound and space, the acoustic and naturally amplified voice connects with the architecture and landscape. In this practice, listening and sound forms a basis for a better world, to be enticed and engaged in finding your own way and attitude towards life.
