For me photography means construction.
As a visual artist I edit the van through a collage-like work process
origin documentary photographic image and combine it optionally with or without poetry
and new media.
Sometimes in collaboration with others, in public space or using the internet.
In this way, I repeatedly create a contemporary at the interface between fiction and reality
photo - poetic 'in-between' space with its own aura and layering.

**Sabine Stuurman** - Title: Venus. I have photographically translated the theme of the outdoor exhibition 'Imagination instead of advertising' into an image symbol in the shape of a heart that I have composed from an originally documentary photographic image of a peony. The work is a spin-off of an existing project - the walk to paradise garden - which consists of a series of twelve images. (see portfolio) A visual symbol that, at a time when we are drastically limited by the corona crisis but at the same time celebrating 75 years of freedom in the Netherlands, connects both themes through the arts. Because it tells the story of connection, transformation, beauty and comfort.

**Sabine Stuurman** - Land spaces. Lux (works in progress) Light in relation to the reality of public space in this series of images, is my material such as paint is for a painter. You could say that I transform the reality of the documentary image - which in theory serves a photo journalistic purpose - to tell my story. The title of the images will be derived from lyrics. A playlist of the songs will be added to the presentation.The original landscape photographs would document how, at a certain moment in time, the landscape manifested itself to my camera and thus capture a moment in time. The new composite landscapes visualize not a particular moment in time but manifest a period in time.A period that includes the ecological, energetic and technological changes in the landscape of the present, the past or the future.

**The walk to paradise garden** -Paradise garden. The picture of the famous Magnum photographer W. Eugene Smith inspired me to develop and manufacture the project "Paradise Garden".?The images, quotes and poems in this project tell about inner transformation. Keywords: trust love and transformation.
