Djatá Bart-Plange (1993, Meijel, NL(NL-GH)) is founder, CEO, and staff of NDNMK Solutions – a Rotterdam-based, artist-run company that specializes in ideology management and whiteness-related consultancy. We provide sound-focused memetic mind castles that serve as spaces of reflection, confusion, digression, and possibly ascension.
Our projects are often narrative-driven and transdisciplinary – digital ecologies/structures where sound, short story, performance, image and point&click mutate/pollinate into exportable, likable, sharable, immersive pathworkings related to politics of knowledge, seductions of privilege, rituals of innocence , and (new age) marketing strategies.

**Soft as a Python** - The sign outside said “Snake Massage: 15 minutes, €7”. This project researches interactive, improvisational worldbuilding though conversation. Framed as a fantasy massage, I speak to people about their lives and the planets and animals within their bodies. Me and the recipient explore and escalate senses and narratives around the body into shapes that are unconnected to the physical. Massage softens the body and we can rub new stories about ourselves in between our toes. This work was intentionally presented outside an art space, practically on the street, to perform this worldbuilding experiment with people who don't often enter art spaces.

**Chemtrail Aeromancy performances at Motel Mozaïque and murf/murw** - Chemtrail Aeromancy is a camera app developed during my Summer Sessions residency supported by V2_ Unstable Media and Sardegna Teatro. This app translates pictures into either sound, image, or text. Dependent on parameters like brightness and color in a photo, the app uncovers shards of the mythologizing narrative centered around EU's e-waste dumping in West Africa. App is made for personal use, but it also functions as a tool for group city tours. Here, I conduct an audience to collectively try to uncover hidden messages in the sky using the app. Together we perform rituals in public at specific locations to theatrically work through feelings of grief and climate anxiety, confronting our contribution to whiteness and climate colonialism. https://chemtrail-aeromancy.app

It departs from the airport as a site where both gender and national identity are scrutinized and policed, and moves through both (digital) space and time to meet potential queer ancestors in fabulated sites they might have passed through. It aims to fight homonationalist narratives which posit queerness as an inherently Western phenomenon, and the non-Western immigrant as the 'backwards' other.

For some, the fake news industrial complex has proven to meet these needs. Communities like QAnon operate similarly to alternative reality games (ARG) and cults in their communication and psychology. By gamifying reality, conspiracy theory communities provide many with stories to make sense of current fears. We will be reading texts related to game theory, (neo-)mythologies, magic, and animism so that you can gently integrate these into your belief system.

**Sound/dance performance for Antonio Jose Guzman and Iva Jankovic at Sonsbeek festival 20-24** - This site-specific installation and procession explores the transatlantic, colonial history of indigo in relation to its production on Surinamese and Javanese plantations and in Europe, including the province of Gelderland in Arnhem. It is part of the series The Supreme Exodus, in which Antonio Jose Guzman engages with Black Atlantic cultures (Paul Gilroy) and hybrid migratory aesthetics (Mieke Bal). Over the last fifteen years, the artist has focused on postcolonial artistic research related to his own Panamanian background, and here he finds the origins of indigo in Latin America, Asia and West Africa and subsequently in the African slave trade where its value as a means of payment increased exponentially.

During this residency I created a camera app that translates photos into sound, image and text. The speculative fiction that the app houses deals with themes such as climate colonialism, electronic waste, magic, Christianity.
The app can be explored by anyone on their own, but it is also designed to serve as a performance tool during photography tours that I am organizing this year (2025).
