I'm a photographer/image maker whose central theme is vulnerability. Vulnerable humans, vulnerable nature. This underlying concept is depicted both playfully and critically in portrait series and "living still lifes" with strong links to classical painting.
My work explores the tension between stillness and life by placing animals in carefully staged still lifes. By combining unexpected objects, subtle humor, and painterly tranquility, a hybrid visual language emerges between nature, conceptual photography, and poetry. Each image depicts a meeting of instinct and object, in which the fragile relationship between humankind and nature becomes softly yet powerfully palpable.
The portrait series have a social theme and lightheartedly highlight topics such as powerlessness, being stuck in traditions and relationships, growing older, being overburdened by work and other tasks, dementia and confusion, etc.
