Je suis Marie Antoinette - Exhibition February 15, 2020 to March 15, 2020 Kunstenlab Deventer, Havenplein 20, 7411 ME Deventer Lecture On March 15 at 15.30:XNUMX PM, Eveline Visser will give a lecture about her fascination with Marie-Antoinette and talk about her work in the exhibition.
Blue is the Warmest Color - Installation 2017: Gallery Cokkie Snoei: 17th century slave ship where a blue flag has been raised after the death of the master of the ship. 'Blue is the warmest color' is dedicated to this occurrence. Below there is a maltreated guitar, which characterizes the comforting music played by the slaves after the captain's death. This also represents the birth of Blues as a music genre.
The Bird’s Empire - Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam: 2016 Central to the installation was the contrast between reason and intuition, science and mystery, faith in progress and the laws of nature.
HEL EN HEMEL - My largest installation to date, on display in the War Museum in Overloon from the end of May 2022 for five years. The video of the walk through this installation will be made when the work is completed.

In the Kunstenlab, Eveline Visser presents 'Je suis Marie-Antoinette. We see the headless figure Marie-Antoinette in a 'decor' of plywood, wood, cardboard, polystyrene foam, paper, print, acrylic paint and ink. The decor is strongly reminiscent of an advertising form for a film. With a look at this decor you are drawn into the emotional world of Marie-Antoinette.

Obsessed, I looked through one of the 36 small windows of my room, through one piece of a fragmented panorama of New York. Each window framed a different story. On the first day, I had masked the room, six large windows with thin white paper, cut 36 small windows out of the paper, and written, above each window, the country to which it belonged. The size of each window corresponded to the number of emigrants from that country who had settled in the US over the last 40 years.
